The IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) Technical Committee on Green Communications and Computing (TCGCC) invites nominations for two Editors for the journal IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking (TGCN). TGCN is a flagship ComSoc journal in the field of Green Communications, Networks and Computing. The journal is co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS), and the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS).

TGCN is committed to timely publishing of high-quality manuscripts that advance the state-of-the-art of “green” communications and networks, including wireline, optical, and wireless communications and networks. Green communications and networking in this context means sustainable, energy-efficient, energy-aware, and environmentally aware communications and networking. The Journal will promote innovations, new technologies, concepts, and principles that will underpin a sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) eco-system. One of the objectives of the journal is to be the prime reference on the sustainable growth of the wireless infrastructure.

Nominations should include:

  • Name of candidate and nominator (self-nominations are acceptable)
  • A brief biography of the nominee of no more than one page with: (i) relevant research activities that are directly aligned with the scope of the journal; and (ii) the contributions/involvement in TCGCC
  • The candidate’s 2-page CV with relevant publication lists, editorial and review, and a list of up to 6-8 keywords that the candidate can handle for TGCN
  • The elements of the nomination package should be combined as a single PDF file with the nominee’s CV appended at the end

The IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) Technical Committee on Green Communications and Computing (TCGCC) invites nominations for two (2) Associate Editor Positions for the IEEE Systems Journal. IEEE Systems Journal is the flagship journal of the IEEE Systems Council, focusing on the system-level research. The collaboration between IEEE ComSoc TCGCC and IEEE Systems Journal will have mutual benefits for both entities. IEEE Systems Journal is ranked in JCR Q1.

This journal is created to provide a systems-level focused forum for application-oriented manuscripts that address complex systems and system-of-systems of national and global significance. It is intended to encourage and facilitate cooperation and interaction among IEEE societies, and other professional societies, with systems-level and systems engineering interest.

Call for Nominations for Editors of China Communications

CHINACOM (ISSN 1673-5447) is an English-language monthly journal cosponsored by the China Institute of Communications (CIC) and IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ComSoc) towards engineers and IT workers in industry, universities, research and development organizations and government agencies in the field of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) all over the world. CHINACOM has been indexed in SCIE (Science Citation Index-Expanded) since January, 2007. In addition, all articles have been available in the IEEE Xplore since January, 2013. CHINACOM has impact factor 2.024 and ranked in JCR Q3.

CHINACOM focuses on innovative technical papers and academic thesis pertinent to Information and Communications Technologies sectors. Major columns include: communications theories and systems, signal processing, artificial intelligence, internet, security, emerging technology and applications. Theoretical research papers and academic thesis presenting new techniques, concepts, or analyses, and applied contributions reporting on experiences and experiments are welcome. Innovative papers pertinent to ICTs such as best practices and solutions, lessons learned, case studies, management experiences are also welcome.

IEEE Networking Letters publishes short papers in a rapid publication cycle on original research results derived from theoretical or experimental exploration of the area of communication/computer networking, covering various information transport networks over various physical layer technologies, both wireline and wireless, or hybrids of these. The journal focuses on the network layers above the physical layer. Topics of interest include network architecture and design, protocols, network software, network hardware, network operation and management, measurements, and network security.

Up to 3224 participants in our TCGCC/TGCN joint seminar!

On 13 August, we have successful organized IEEE ComSoc TCGCC/TGCN joint seminar on “AI for Green 6G”. Four world-leading scientists (Professor Tony Q.S. Quek, Professor Walid Saad, Professor F. Richard Yu, and Professor John Thompson) presented their recent studies and results in this field.

It is really amazing to see that we have up to 3224 participants in the seminar! Many thanks for the distinguished speakers, participants, TCGCC officers, and seminar organizers.

Call for Nominations for Editors of IEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society (OJ-CS)

IEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society (OJ-CS) is a rigorously peer-reviewed forum for rapid publication of open access articles describing high-impact results in all areas of interest to the IEEE Computer Society. OJ-CS complements existing IEEE Computer Society publications by providing a rapid review cycle and a thorough review of technical articles within the open-access-only framework. The goal is to publish quickly; the rapid peer-review process is targeting a publication time frame of 10 weeks for most accepted papers. This journal is fully open and compliant with funder mandates, including Plan S.

OJ-CS is dedicated to publishing articles on the latest emerging topics and trends in all aspects of computing. The scope of the Society shall encompass all aspects of theory, design, practice, and application relating to computer and information processing science and technology.
